Get Inspired to Ride

Some ride to remember, some ride to support, and some ride for themselves. Read more about a few of the inspirational riders who are taking part in The Ride to Conquer Cancer this year.

Paul is Sharing the Power of Human Connection

Paul’s experience with cancer included challenges but his interactions with everyone from volunteers to nurses to doctors at The Princess Margaret reinforced how human connections can impact a person’s life. He’s sharing his story now to inspire others and, as Vice President of The Carpenters Union, putting incredible support behind The Ride as a sponsor.

Maurice is Riding During his Cancer Journey

At 33 years old, an ex-personal trainer and no family history of cancer, Maurice’s diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma was a complete shock. While he’s not yet cancer-free, Maurice is currently responding well to one of the clinical trials at The Princess Margaret.

Marvin Rides in Memory of Mom

One of Celia Esquivel’s biggest supporters was her son, Marvin. Sadly, Celia, a patient at The Princess Margaret, passed away from ovarian cancer in February of this year. Marvin will be honouring her legacy by once again participating in The Ride and being an inspiration to others.
