In 300 words or less, tell us how your candidate has persevered and stayed positive in the face of cancer. They could be a current patient or someone who fought it in the past. If you know more than one deserving person, nominate them both!
Send your nomination to RideGuides@thepmcf.ca using the subject line “NOMINATION”.
Nomination deadline: Midnight, August 6, 2021.
At only 22 years of age, Julianne was already an accomplished para-athlete who excelled in many Special Olympic sports, and a seven-time OFSAA champion in cross-country running and track and field. In 2018, she was inducted into the Niagara Sports Wall of Fame. During her four-year battle with osteosarcoma, she continued inspiring people to overcome their personal challenges while staying strong and positive. Even after having her fibula removed from one leg, she managed to complete the Enbridge® Ride to Conquer Cancer® twice, riding a bright pink tandem bike with her dad. We are honoured to announce this award in her memory.
